Tavern Road in Boston's Fort Point Is Closing

A restaurant in Boston's Fort Point neighborhood that is known in part for its modern American fare, small plates, and craft cocktails is shutting down.

A Facebook post from the place confirms what we were told a couple of weeks ago, that Tavern Road on Congress Street is closing for good, with the dining and drinking spot shutting its doors at the end of  business hours on August 26. We have been told that another restaurant will be moving into the space, but until a formal announcement is made, we will hold off on mentioning which spot is moving in.

Louis and Michael DiBiccari first opened Tavern Road in February of 2013, offering globally-inspired food, "nose-to-tail" cooking, and a variety of beers, wines, and mixed drinks.

The address for Tavern Road is 343 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210. Its website can be found at http://tavernroad.com/
